    WINTER 2001
After our concert of music from the Isles of Great Britain and Ireland, we are now preparing for an April 21, 2002, concert of French sacred and secular music, African-American spirituals, and Monteverdi madrigals. Stay tuned for information, or contact us at midwesternwind@yahoo.com

    FALL 2001
Dave Chen, one of the founders, is back to sing with us again!

    OCTOBER 17, 2001
Happy Birthday to the MidWestern Wind!
    We're three years old now...

    SUMMER 2001
We welcome to our new members: Julia Cathcart, soprano; Jenna Andelman, alto; Camilla Richmond, alto.
We bid farewells to Jeanette Bauchat, who was there at our very first rehearsal on October 17, 1998, to Ellen Walkling (off to become an ER doc), who has been with us ever since our first concert, and to Siri Sonty, whom we hope will come back and sing again someday soon (she drops by rehearsal every once in awhile!).
And Rob and Kate Stonebraker are on their way to Memphis, TN for a year while Rob clerks with a federal judge, but they will be back next summer!

The recording has arrived, and it sounds great. If you'd like a copy ($10), contact us at midwesternwind@yahoo.com and we'll add you to our mailing list. Thanks to everyone who made this recording possible.

    SPRING 2001
Our first studio recording! On March 24, 2001, we will spend the day creating a CD of our favorites, including The Lamentations of Jeremiah of Thomas Tallis, three Motetsof Palestrina, and a variety of other sacred and folk music.
